Two community projects were implemented during 2010-11. One of the projects titled “Youth Step”, provided a series of leadership training to secondary students. A forum was then initiated by these secondary students; politicians and educators were invited to discuss the impact of new curriculum reform in higher education on secondary students. Another one, named, An Equal Opportunity Project was selected as one of the best Discovery-Enriched Curriculum program in CityU. This project involved 23 SS students across cohorts and majors to promote the message of anti-discrimination and equal job opportunities to the community. A multi-variety show was carried out to arouse public awareness. It was successfully attended by hundreds of service users, NGO representatives and SS students!
